Excellent tool, very helpful. By the way, other developers have a similar tool, Huawei gives another step in order to be a real compe*** in IT market. Congrats.

Good tool. I'd suggest the following changes (based on trying it with the 12708 and 7706):
- Line card description should include an actual description, not just the part number.
- Power supplies should be included in the tool, and the tool should autom

My previous post got truncated. :(. Automatically check for PS redundancy, include a list of optional SW features with checkboxes for selection, have a button to generate a bill of materials in excel.

Its great tool and very useful for SI like me who is into IP CCTV industry. We only use Huawei PoE switches and now with this tool my engineers can easily plan the number of cameras with respective watts to suite the switch capacity. We hope more similar

Hello! Good tool. I suggest to make it autonomous, it is possible in Excel. I use the technical description for the power counting, but to seek every card is difficult. I propose to add to the name card yet it is part number. So we use when ordering. Seco

Second: we often use old equipment when transfers between stations also requires the calculation of increased power - is it possible to add the old multiplexers and subracks? Thank you.

Task 1:
[ CrowdLabs ] Experience Hardware Configuration Tool to Win a Big Prize!!-2456163-1

Task 2:

When I configure a standalone switch I only see the type of switches. I can not configure things like the software, redundant powers, maintenance

When I configure a chassis, I can choose the line cards but I can not see what type of line card I have selected. I have to know the internal code of the line card. It is not very intuitive

I will connect this tool with the Bill of Material Tool

I found this useful for power consumption testing for department switches. I don't use the largest switches / routers myself. 

This is useful, it could do with a graphical view of the switch, links to support information and documentation, but it's a good start. 

One very useful thing would be to have a simple way to view all available accessories for products, like in this case transceivers, DAC cables and such.

TASK-2
  • Excellent tool to visualize the custimized board configuration and to get to know the typical power consumption and weight of the system.
  • Export configuration details and hardware configuration layout image is good feature of this tool.
  • The link to export into excel should appear on top instead of bottom.
  • Help link on the bottom should also appear on top.
  • It would be better to add a EXPORT button instead of text link.
  • It is suggested to allow uses to select/de-select boards over the board image by right click or drop down option
  • Good development making it useful for users, hope to see further improvement.
