Hello there!

I think this documentation materials will help you: https://support.huawei.com/enterprise/en/doc/EDOC1100081212.

This document describes the AP modes and APs supporting mode switching and provides detailed mode switching examples and troubleshooting measures.

WLANPlanner now don't support the AP connect the switch in the different floor.
in 2020, we may consider this, create a virtual switch binded the actual switch, and then put the virtual switch in the AP's floor.

If there are other APs on the floor, you can use wireless mesh.
If distance is less then 100m between 2 floors, you can route the cable to the other floor and connect there as usually there is a cable tray/ cable path available between 2 floors, use that to route the cable.
