Today, I'd like to share a case.
Problem Description
Critical Alarm Reported after Primary U2000 shutdown from Power Issue
Problem Analysis
1) Login to U2000 system monitor to primary server
a) Ping the primary server IP
b) Ping the secondary server IP
2) Get the logs /var/VRTSvcs/log/engine_A.log
3) Perform the commands below:
vradmin -g datadg repstatus datarvg’
vrstat –R datarvg
Root Cause
Due to the power down happened on primary server previously, maintenance suite has been shut down automatically at the same time
Solution Description
Due to the power down happened on primary server previously, maintenance suite has been shut down automatically at the same time. So this affecting the synchronization between the Primary server and secondary server. The solution is to start up the Maintenance Suite and do synchronization for both server.
