CPU overclocking

29

CPU overclocking allows the CPU to run at higher clock rates than the nominal rate. This will affect the server stability. Huawei servers do not support the setting of CPU overclocking.
However, the BIOS setup interface provides the Turbo mode for CPUs. You can enable the Turbo mode (auto, intelligent speed adjustment) to speed up the CPU. For details, search for the keyword "Turbo mode" in

CPU models requirements
A server must use the same model of CPUs. Otherwise, the server cannot run normally.

How to configure the CPU Usage Alarm Threshold?
Using the set cpu-usage threshold command, you can set the CPU usage alarm threshold and CPU usage alarm recovery threshold. Using the undo set cpu-usage threshold command, you can restores the default CPU usage alarm threshold and CPU usage alarm recovery threshold. By default, the CPU usage alarm threshold is 80% and the CPU usage alarm recovery threshold is 75%. ?When the CPU usage alarm threshold is lower than 60%, the default CPU usage alarm recovery threshold is 1% lower than the CPU usage alarm threshold. ?When the CPU usage alarm threshold is higher than or equal to 60%, the default CPU usage alarm recovery threshold is 5% lower than the CPU usage alarm threshold.

Server EIST
Enhanced Intel SpeedStep Technology (EIST) provides high performance and conserves power. When it detects low CPU usage, it dynamically reduces the CPU frequency to reduce power consumption and heat. When it detects increasing CPU usage, it restores the initial work frequency of the CPU.
