1. Determine the required operation based on different scenarios.
? To create a volume in the storage pool, go to Step 2.
? To create a volume using an existing snapshot, go to Step 7.
Create a volume in the storage pool.
2. On FusionStorage, choose Resource Pool > Volume Management > Volumes.
The Volumes page is displayed.
3. Click Create.
Set Volume Name, Capacity, and Storage Pool, and click Create.
A dialog box is displayed.
4. Click OK.
5. Perform one of the following operations based on the protocol used by the volume:
? For Small computer systems interface (SCSI) storage, click Attach. To manage the attachment relationship between a volume and a block storage client, see Attaching a Volume
? For Internet Small Computer System Interface (iSCSI) storage, click Map. To manage the mapping among a volume, host, and host group, see Creating Mapping.
? To continue to create volumes, click Yes. Then the volume creation page is displayed.
After a volume is successfully created, you can view it in the volume list.
No further action is required.
Create a volume using an existing snapshot.
7. On the FusionStorage web client, choose Resource Pool > Snapshot Management.
The Snapshot Management page is displayed.
8. Locate the row that contains the target snapshot and select Create Volume Using Snapshot.
A dialog box is displayed.
9. Set Volume Name and Capacity and click Create.
A dialog box is displayed.
10. Click OK.
A creation success message is displayed.
You can locate the row that contains the target snapshot and click Query Volume to query details about all volumes created using this snapshot.

Locate the row that contains the volume to be detached, click Detach Volume in the Operation column. The Detach Volume page is displayed. Select the block storage client from which the volume is to be detached, and click Detach Volume. The Volumes page is displayed. Locate the row that contains the target volume, click to expand the volume information, and then click Mounting Point in the information area. The View mount point details page is displayed, and the mount point has been deleted from the mount point list. No further action is required.

How to Create a Snapshot in FusionStorage
1. On FusionStorage, choose Resource Pool > Snapshot Management. The Snapshot Management page is displayed. 2. Click Create. 3. Configure the following information: ? Set the snapshot name. ? Select the volume on which a snapshot is created. Find the corresponding volume by selecting the storage pool. If the volume name is available, find the corresponding volume by searching the name. 4. Click Create to create a snapshot of the volume. You can choose Resource Pool > Volume Management > Volumes and click to the left of a volume to query the snapshot information about the volume.

How to Create a User in FusionStorage
1. On FusionStorage, choose System > Users and security > User Management. The User Management page is displayed. 2. Click Create User. 3. Set UserName, Password, and Description. ? The password must comply with the preconfigured password policies. ? The user type can be administrator, operator, or auditor. ? Administrator: A user that is granted all system rights. ? Operator: A user that is granted rights of main system operations, including resource management, hardware management, and monitoring. However, the user is not granted user management permission. ?
