Multi-Instance Overview


FusionInsight HD provides multi-instance functions of HBase, Hive, and Spark services so that resources of different services are isolated and do not affect each other. Resources of service instances support customized configuration. Tenants can be associated with different service instances so that services run in isolated resources. The system administrator can add a maximum of five service-level instances for each of HBase, Hive, and Spark on FusionInsight Manager. For example, HBase, HBase1, HBase2, HBase3, and HBase4.Multiple Hive and Spark instances with the same ID are strongly related. For example, Spark1 depends on Hive1 and Spark2 depends on Hive2. HBase instances with different IDs do not depend on each other.The newly added instances have the same function modules as existing services, such as logs, users, and shell commands. FusionInsight Manager provides unified management for HBase, Hive, and Spark instances, including monitoring, alarming, and starting or stopping services. When importing and exporting data using Loader, extracting metadata using Metadata, creating roles, backing up and restoring data, or developing applications, the system administrator needs to select specific service instances based on the actual situation.

Description: A logical interface that consists of multiple Layer 2 or Layer 3 Ethernet interfaces. An Eth-Trunk interface provides high bandwidth and reliability. i. Loopback interface. Description: Remains in the Up state and is assigned a 32-bit subnet mask.
