Determining the orientation of an antenna

11

Determine the orientation of an antenna based on the site condition. In most cases, good signal coverage can be obtained if antennas are placed with a correct polarization direction. From the signal radiation figure of an AP's omnidirectional antenna, you can see that the antenna gain is the highest in the direction vertical to the antenna.
When an AP is placed horizontally or wall-mounted, the main lobe of an antenna should be vertical to the coverage area to achieve the best signal coverage.

Other related questions:
Is the antenna gain determined in factory settings
The gain is a fixed attribute of an antenna and cannot be adjusted.

Is the antenna gain determined during production? Can the antenna gain be adjusted
No, the gain is a fixed attribute of an antenna and cannot be adjusted.
