Use the following methods to save the configuration file of a WLAN device:
1. CLI:
save //The command must be executed in the user view.
The current configuration will be written to the device.
Are you sure to continue? (y/n)[n]:y
It will take several minutes to save configuration file, please wait........
Configuration file had been saved successfully
To prevent loss of configuration after AC restart, run the save command to save the current configuration before restarting the AC.
Note: If the output of the display startup command shows that the current configuration file is Null, the system will ask you to enter the configuration file name when the save command is executed. By default, the configuration file is saved in the vrpcfg.zip file.

2. Web platform:
Click Save in the upper right corner of the web platform, and then click OK in the displayed dialog box.
To ensure that the configuration is not lost after AC restart, save the current configuration before restarting the AC.

Upload a web file through FTP to a router.
1.  Use the router as an FTP server, and enable the FTP service.  
Enable the FTP server on the router, and create an FTP user with the user name huawei and password Helloworld@6789. Authorize the user to access the directory sd1:.

2.  Initiate an FTP connection from a maintenance PC to the router.  
On the PC, create an FTP connection to the router through the FTP client (for example, the IP address of the router is 10.110.24.254).

3.  Upload the web software to the router.

4.  View the files and sub-directories under the current directory.

5.  Load the web file.
<Huawei> system-view
[Huawei] http server load Web.zip      //Load the web file. If the file has been loaded, ignore this step. In later versions of the software, the web file has been integrated into the system package, and does not need loading.

How to specify the configuration file for next startup on a WLAN device
Run the following commands in the user view on a WLAN device (except Fit APs) to specify the configuration file for next startup: - Run the startup system-software command in the user view to specify the system software for next startup. - Run the startup saved-configuration command in the user view to specify the configuration file for next startup. The following takes newbasicsoft.cc (system software for next startup) and vrpcfg.zip (configuration file) as an example: # Specify the system software to be loaded for the next startup. startup system-software newbasicsoft.cc # Specify the configuration file to be loaded for the next startup. startup saved-configuration vrpcfg.zip

How are log files saved
The log files are saved when a storage device such as a Flash memory, a USB flash drive or an SD card is available. In the user view, run the save logfile command to save log files.
