Cause why the attenuation of the EVOA on a non-service channel of the M40V board connected to the D40 board is set to the maximum in the dummy light scenario

1. The input optical power is excessively low. 2. The insertion loss between the TDC board and the RDC board is excessively large. 3. The required OA type cannot satisfy the optical power requirements for system design.

For the D40 board, the adjacent channel isolation should be greater than 25 dB.

1. TN12M40V can substitute TN11M40V. TN12M40V can be created as M40V on the NMS to substitute TN11M40V. The board substitution does not require software upgrade. After the substitution, the board can function as TN11M40V only. TN11M40V occupies three slots and TN12M40V occupies two slots. When substituting TN11M40V, TN12M40V must be placed in the left slot of the slot housing TN11M40V, and the vacant slot cannot house any other boards. Note: To substitute for TN11M40V, the TN12M40V board software must be upgraded to OSN 8800/6800/3800 V100R006C01SPC300 or later, and the version of the NE housing TN11M40V must be OSN 6800 V100R003C02 or later. TN11M40V can be substituted in all NE versions of OSN 8800. 2. TN12D40 can substitute TN11D40. TN12D40 can be created as D40 on the NMS to substitute TN11M40V. The board substitution does not require software upgrade. After the substitution, the board can function as TN11D40 only. TN11D40 occupies three slots and TN12D40 occupies two slots. When substituting TN11D40, TN12D40 must be placed in the left slot of the slot housing TN11D40, and the vacant slot cannot house any other boards. If the ASON function is not required, the NE software must be upgraded to OSN 6800 V100R004C01 or later, or OSN 8800 V100R002C00 or later. b. If the ASON function is required, the NE software must be upgraded to OSN 6800 V100R004C03 or later, or OSN 8800 V100R002C00 or later. c. After the substitution, the board can function as TN13FIU only.

At the optical power adjustment point, at least 2.5 dB must be reserved for the average attenuation value of each single-wavelength channel so that there is a margin for potential subsequent optical attenuation adjustment.

The TOG boards on the OSN 8800 V100R005C00 support only the GFP-T service type. Therefore, the service type does not need to be set.
