If the TOM board is a TN11TOM board, it cannot be used on the OSN 8800. You are advised to replace it with a TN52TOM board.

The restrictions on the NQ2 line mode are as follows: In OptiX OSN 6800, if the TN12XCS board is used, the NQ2 board supports a service capacity of 40 Gbit/s when it is installed in slot 1, 4, 11, or 14. Only optical ports IN1/OUT1 and IN2/OUT2 of the NQ2 board are available and therefore the board supports a service capacity of 20 Gbit/s when it is installed in any of the other slots. If the TN11XCS board is used, only optical ports IN1/OUT1 and IN2/OUT2 of the NQ2 board are available and therefore the board supports a service capacity of only 20 Gbit/s regardless of the slot housing the board. In OptiX OSN 8800, the NQ2 board can be installed in any slot to support 40 Gbit/s service capacity.
