Method used to set the speedup mode for channels of the NS3 board

13

1. For ODU2 channels: Set them to speedup mode when the backplane side receives ODU2e services, and set them to standard mode when the backplane side receives ODU2 services.
2. For ODU3 channels: Set them to speedup mode when the backplane side receives ODU2e services, standard mode or speedup mode when the backplane side receives ODU2 services, and standard mode when the backplane side receives ODU3 services.

Speedup mode
Speedup mode is one of the values of the Line Rate parameter for setting the OTN line rate on WDM line boards and some optical wavelength transponders. When WDM-side signals are OTU2e or OTU3e signals, or when client-side signals are 10GE LAN signals and Port Mapping is set to Bit Transparent Mapping (11.1 G) for the client-side port, set this parameter to Speedup Mode. In any other cases, set this parameter to Standard Mode.

Whether wavelengths on the NS3 board are tunable
The NS3 board supports tunable wavelengths on the WDM side.

Differences between the speedup mode and standard mode of the line board of OptiX OSN 8800
The rate in speedup mode is 11.1G and the service type is 10GE LAN. The service type is 10GE WAN in standard mode. When the speedup mode is used, the line boards need to be set to the speedup mode.

Method used to set the Ethernet working mode of a GE port on the TOA board
Ethernet Working Mode can be set to Auto-Negotiation or 1000M Full-Duplex. The default value is 1000M Full-Duplex. Auto-Negotiation can automatically determine the optimal working modes of the interconnected ports. This mode facilitates maintenance. Ethernet Working Mode is valid only when the service type is set to GE (TTT-GMP). The Ethernet working mode must be consistent with the setting for upstream services. Two ports that are mutually protected in active-standby mode must have the same Ethernet Working Mode setting.

Method used to query the service mode and set the IPTV mode
The IPTV mode needs to be enabled only when the host service is IPTV. The command for enabling the IPTV mode can be executed only on the primary controller. The IPTV service refers to the video on demand (VOD) and recording services. The database is not the IPTV service. 1. Query the service mode. Log in to the CLI and run showservicemode to query the service mode. 2. Set the IPTV mode. Log in to the CLI and run setservicemode -m 1 to enable the IPTV mode. Note: The IPTV mode needs only to be enabled on one controller. After the IPTV mode is enabled, run resetsys to restart the system for the IPTV mode to take effect. 3. Restart the system as follows: OceanStor: admin > resetsys
