The TN13M40V supports optical power adjustment only when it is used with the smart power equilibrium license. The mapping NMS license control item is Optical Power Equalization Software Fee (Per Unit).
To use the EVOA power adjustment function integrated in the TN13M40V board, configure the purchased license as follows:
Step 1: Authorize the value-added function license for the NE.
a. In the NE explorer, choose Configuration > Value-added Function Authorization.
b. Click Query. The number of available smart power equilibrium licenses is displayed.
c. Double-click Allocated Capacity and enter the correct value. The entered value must be less than or equal to the number of available smart power equilibrium licenses.
Step 2: Enable the optical power equilibrium function of the TN13M40V board.
a. In the NE Explorer, choose Configuration > Optical Power Equalization.
b. Enable optical power equalization for the TN13M40V board. Click Apply.
Note: The default attenuation value of the EVOA on each channel of the TN13M40V board is 15 dB. If no license is available, the attenuation value must be set to 0 dB for the channels to add wavelengths before services are provisioned. If a license is available, the attenuation value must be set to 15 dB for the channels to add wavelengths before services are provisioned.
