Whether there are risks when the DCN gateway of OptiX OSN 9800 is switched

The OptiX OSN 9800 U64 subrack is integrated in a cabinet, which has the same dimensions as an N66B cabinet. It cannot be installed in other cabinets.

When the DCN gateway is switched, the network is normal and services will not be interrupted. However, the NE monitoring function may be affected.

A license granted by Huawei permits a customer to use the licensed product within a specific use scope and for a specific duration. The customer can also obtain the services committed by Huawei. The OptiX OSN 9800 license includes the feature license, cross-connect type license, and cross-connect capacity license.

When an OptiX OSN 9800 device interconnects with an MSTP or PTN device, an OptiX OSN 8800 T16 subrack can be used as an optical NE on the OptiX OSN 9800 device to achieve end-to-end clock transmission such as the IEEE 1588v2 clock, synchronous Ethernet, 2 MHz and 2 Mbit/s external clock sources. When an OptiX OSN 8800 T16 subrack uses IEEE 1588v2 to implement phase synchronization, the supported NE working modes are OC, TC, BC, TC+BC, and TC+OC.
