MAC addresses of CE12800 series switches cannot be changed.
On CE8800&7800&6800&5800 series switches, MAC addresses cannot be changed in V100R006C00 and earlier versions but can be changed in V200R001C00 and later versions.

How to view the system MAC address on a CE series switch
To check the system MAC address of a switch, run the display system mac-address command.
display system mac-address
Current System MAC address: 200b-c739-1300
Current System MAC number : 256

Manufacture MAC Information:
---------------------------------------
Chassis MAC Number
---------------------------------------
1 200b-c739-1300 256
---------------------------------------
In the command output, the Current System MAC address field indicates the system MAC address.

Change the system MAC address on S series switch
Generally, it is not allowed to change the system MAC address on S series switches (except S1700). If it is required to change the system MAC address, run the set system-mac current command on modular switches and then restart the switch to make the modification take effect. Fixed switches do not support the modification of the system MAC address.

How to download the system software package for a CE series switch
Download the system software package for a CE series switch as follows: 1. Visit http://support.huawei.com/enterprise. 2. Choose 软件 > 企业网络 > 交换? 3. Select a switch model and version, and download the system software package.

Maximum number of MAC address flapping times that CE series switches can detect
The maximum number of MAC address flapping times that CE series switches can detect is 65535. When the number of flapping times is greater than 65535, the MoveNum field is still 65535 in the display mac-address flapping command output. In most cases, there is a low probability that MAC address flapping occurs many times. If the number reaches the threshold, you can run the reset mac-address flapping record command to clear the detection record on CE series switches.
