Which serial number is needed to renew the maintenance service of S series switches
Serial numbers of S series switches fall into two categories: - Equipment serial number (ESN): indicates the serial number of a switch. The ESN of a modular switch is also called the chassis serial number. - Serial number (SN) of each component: indicates the serial number of a card, subcard, optical module, power supply, or fan module. An SN is required to renew the maintenance service for a switch. For all the components on the switch, provide the ESN of the switch. For one component, provide the SN of this component.

Does the AR need to be configured with the Layer 2 interface card to support the AC function
To directly connect an AP to an AR, use the LAN interface of the AR. Select one of the following methods to obtain the ESN or SN of a switch or component: Method 1: View SN labels. Equipment or chassis SN: View the SN label attached to the device panel. (There is a slight difference between label locations on different models. For example, the label can locate on the front, rear, or top of the chassis.) Card serial number: View the SN label on the panel (upper-right or upper-left corner) or PCB (remove and check the card). Method 2: Run a command. Run the display elabel command to view the electronic label of each component. The BarCode field indicates the serial number. Method 3: Through the web system. Does user data need to be aggregated on the AC
User data can be forwarded in local forwarding or tunnel forwarding mode. Data traffic needs to be aggregated to the AC in tunnel forwarding mode, but not in local forwarding mode. The forwarding mode is determined by service requirements. If there are a large number of concurrent traffic flows, use local forwarding so that user data will not pass through the AC.
