- IGMP snooping: implements accurate multicast data forwarding on a Layer 2 network (A Layer 3 network is an IPv4 network). This protocol is supported by all S series switches.
- MLD snooping: implements accurate multicast data forwarding on a Layer 2 network (A Layer 3 network is an IPv4 network). This protocol is supported by S series switches except the S1700.
