Do S series switches support expedited forwarding

2

Expedited forwarding (EF) is supported by some low-end firewalls. After a Layer 2 interface card is installed on some low-end firewalls and EF is enabled, packets can be forwarded directly at Layer 2 without security processing. This function improves the forwarding rate of firewalls and is applicable to Layer 2 scenarios.
S series switches have no security mechanisms as firewalls. All packets on switches are forwarded by searching the MAC address or routing table. Therefore, switches use the similar mechanism as EF, and no configuration is required.

Line rate forwarding of S series switches
Line rate forwarding indicates that no packet is lost when the maximum rate of an interface is reached. Total bandwidth provided by all interfaces of a switch = Number of interfaces x Interface rate x 2 (full-duplex mode) If the total bandwidth is less than or equal to the backplane bandwidth, data is forwarded at line rate on the backplane.

Do S series switches support HGMP?
The following models and versions of S series switches support HGMP: The S5700 and S6700 in V200R002 and later versions do not support HGMP. The S2700 and S3700 in V100R006C05 and later versions do not support HGMP. The S2750 does not support HGMP. The S7700, S9700, and S9300 in V200R002 and later versions do not support HGMP. The S1700 and S12700 do not support HGMP.
