Function of the bpdu enable command on S series switch

12

On an S series switch, except S1700, the bpdu enable command sends BPDUs to the CPU for processing.
S series switches: In the versions earlier than V100R006, BPDUs are discarded by default. In V100R006 and later versions, BPDUs are sent to the CPU by default.
E series switches: BPDUs are sent to the CPU by default.
Run the display bpdu mac-address command to check which packets are determined as BPDUs. The bpdu mac-address command configures packets as BPDUs.

What is the function of the bpdu enable command
The bpdu enable command is used to enable the port or global BPDU processing capacity. The BPDUs are not discarded on the port.

Can interfaces on S series switches where the BPDU function is not enabled send BPDUs
To configure S series (except the S1700) and E series switches to transparently transmit BPDUs, perform the following operations: 1. Configure interface-based Layer 2 protocol transparent transmission. (1) Run the l2protocol-tunnel group-mac command in the system view to replace the multicast destination MAC address of Layer 2 protocol packets with a specified multicast MAC address. (2) Run the port default vlan command on the inbound and outbound interfaces to transparently transmit untagged BPDUs. (3) Run the l2protocol-tunnel { all | protocol-type } enable command on the inbound and outbound interfaces to enable interface-based Layer 2 protocol transparent transmission. 2. Configure VLAN-based Layer 2 protocol transparent transmission. (1) Run the l2protocol-tunnel group-mac command in the system view to replace the multicast destination MAC address of Layer 2 protocol packets with a specified multicast MAC address. (2) Run the port link-type hybrid and port hybrid tagged vlan commands on the inbound and outbound interfaces to transparently transmit tagged BPDUs. (3) Run the l2protocol-tunnel { all | protocol-type } vlan command on the inbound and outbound interfaces to enable VLAN-based Layer 2 protocol transparent transmission.

Enabling the SSH function on the S series switches
Enabling the SSH function on the S series switches (except for the S1700) is as follows: system-view [huawei] sysname SSH_Server [SSH_Server] dsa local-key-pair create [SSH_Server] user-interface vty 0 14 [SSH_Server-ui-vty0-14] authentication-mode aaa [SSH_Server-ui-vty0-14] protocol inbound ssh [SSH_Server-ui-vty0-14] quit [SSH_Server] aaa [SSH_Server-aaa] local-user client001 password irreversible-cipher Huawei@123 [SSH_Server-aaa] local-user client001 privilege level 3 [SSH_Server-aaa] local-user client001 service-type ssh [SSH_Server-aaa] quit [SSH_Server] ssh user client001 authentication-type password [SSH_Server] stelnet server enable [SSH_Server] ssh user client001 service-type stelnet
