Configure GVRP on an S series switch, except S1700:
1. Enable GVRP globally. Note: On an S series switch, except S9300, the VCMP role must be configured as Transparent or Silent.

GVRP mechanism on S series switch
The Generic Attribute Registration Protocol (GARP) provides a mechanism to propagate attributes so that a protocol entity can register and deregister attributes.
