How to configure a switch to send debugging information to the log server

For S series switches (except the S1700), run the following commands in the system view to configure an information channel to send only logs with a specified log severity: - Log: info-center source (specifies the module) channel (specifies the channel) log level (specifies the severity of output logs) - Trap: info-center source (specifies the module) channel (specifies the channel) trap level (specifies the severity of output traps) - Debug: info-center source (specifies the module) channel (specifies the channel) debug level (specifies the severity of output debug messages)

The terminal monitor, terminal debugging, terminal logging, and terminal trapping commands enable a terminal to display debugging, log, and alarm information sent from the information center. The undo terminal monitor, undo terminal debugging, undo terminal logging, and undo terminal trapping commands disable a terminal from displaying debugging, log, and alarm information sent from the information center.

You can configure the switch to export logs to the log server so that you can view them on the log server to monitor device running. For example, to export all logs with a level higher than "notification" to the log server 10.1.1.1, run:
