Delete console port password on s series switch

When you log in to an S series switch (except S1700 switches) through the console port for the first time, the system prompts you to configure a login password. You can use either of the following methods to delete the console port login password:
1. Delete the console port login password on the console user interface.

2. Delete the console port login password on the BootROM menu.
[Note]If a modular switch is used and configured with dual main processing units (MPUs), remove the slave MPU before performing the following operations. After the following operations are complete, install the slave MPU again, and then run the save command to ensure consistent configuration between the two MPUs.
On the BootROM menu of the switch, you can clear the console port login password and set a new password after starting the switch. Perform the following operations:
a. Connect to the console port of the switch and restart the switch. When the following information is displayed, press Ctrl+B and enter the BootROM password to enter the BootROM main menu:
Information displayed on modular switches:
Press Ctrl+B to enter boot menu ... 1
Password: //Enter the BootROM password.
Information displayed on fixed switches:
Press Ctrl+B or Ctrl+E to enter BootROM menu ... 2

[Note] Some fixed switch models allow you to enter the BootROM main menu by pressing Ctrl+E. Perform operations as prompted. The default BootROM password is as follows:
- For fixed S series switches running a version earlier than V100R006C05, the default BootROM password is huawei; for fixed switches running V100R006C05 or a later version, the default BootROM password is Admin@huawei.com.
- The default BootROM password for S12700 switches is Admin@huawei.com.
For S7700&S9700 series switches running a version earlier than V100R006C00, the default BootROM password is 9300; for S7700&S9700 series switches running V100R006C00 or a later version, the default BootROM password is Admin@huawei.com.
b. Select Clear password for console user on the BootROM main menu to clear the password for console port login.
c. Select Boot with default mode on the BootROM main menu to start the switch.
d. After the switch is started, log in through the console port (authentication is not required), and set a password as prompted after login.
e. After you log in to the switch, you can set an authentication mode and password for the console user interface if required.
