Do subcards of the S5700SI and S5700EI support 10GE ports

1

The S5700SI and S5700EI switches use front subcards to provide 10GE ports. The ES5D000X2S00 and ES5D000X4S01 front subcards provide 10GE ports on the S5700SI and S5700EI switches. They use SFP+ optical modules.
The S5700SI and S5700EI switches support the ES5D000X2S00 and ES5D000X4S01 front subcards since V100R005.
An ES5D000X2S00 front subcard can be used without a rear subcard or together with a rear subcard supported by the switches.
When an ES5D000X4S01 front subcard is used together with an ES5D00ETPB00 extended rear subcard of which the PCB version is VER.C, all the four ports on the ES5D000X4S01 front subcard can be used. If an ES5D000X4S01 front subcard is used without an ES5D00ETPB00 extended rear subcard or used together with a stack rear subcard, only the first and third ports on the front subcard can be used. The two ports are displayed as XGigabitEthernet */1/1 and XGigabitEthernet */1/2 in command lines.
NOTE:
* indicates the slot ID of the switch.

Are the subcards of S5700SI and S5700EI hot swappable
Subcards of S5700-SI and S5700-EI are not hot swappable. Subcards of S5700-HI, S5710-EI, S5720-EI, S5710-HI, and S5720-HI are hot swappable.

Can 4*GE and 4*10GE front subcards of the S5700EI and S5700SI switches be used without an extended rear subcard
When a 4*GE or 4*10GE front subcard is used without an extended rear subcard, only two of the four ports on the subcard can be used: 4*GE subcard: Only the first and second ports can be initialized. The ports are displayed as GigabitEthernet */1/1 and GigabitEthernet */1/2 after initialization. 4*10GE subcard: Only the first and third ports can be initialized. The ports are displayed as XGigabitEthernet */1/1 and XGigabitEthernet */1/2 after initialization. NOTE: * indicates the slot ID of the switch.

Must 4-port GE cards and 4-port 10GE cards of the S5700EI and S5700SI switches be used with rear extended channel cards
When a 4-port GE card or 4-port10GE card is used without a rear extended channel card, only two ports on the card are available: - 4-port GE subcard: Only the first and second ports can be initialized. The two ports are displayed as GigabitEthernet */1/1 and GigabitEthernet */1/2 after initialization. - 4-port 10GE subcard: Only the first and third ports can be initialized. The ports are displayed as XGigabitEthernet */1/1 and XGigabitEthernet */1/2 after initialization.

Cards supported by S series fixed switches
The following S series fixed switches support cards: S3700-HI, S5710-C-LI, S5700-SI (except the S5700-26X-SI-12S-AC), S5700-EI, S5710-EI, S5720-C-EI, S5720-PC-EI, S5700-HI, S5710-HI, S5720-HI, and S6720-EI series switches. Cards must be installed on corresponding switches based on the mapping between them. If a card is installed on an incompatible switch, the card cannot register. You can use Hardware Query Tool to query the card models supported by specified switches.

Do 10GE front subcards of S5700 switches support GE/10GE auto-sensing
The 10GE front subcards of the S5700EI do not support GE/10G auto-sensing, and 10GE front subcards of the S5700HI and S5700SI support GE/10G auto-sensing.
