Cards supported by S series fixed switches

For card models supported by S series switches, you can use Hardware Query Tool to query details or see "Cards" in the Hardware Description. Subcards on S5700-SI and S5700-EI fixed switches are not hot swappable. Subcards on S3700-HI, S5700-HI, S5710-EI, S5720-EI, S5710-HI, S5720-HI, and S6720-EI switches are hot swappable. You can click Hardware Query Tool to check whether a subcard is hot swappable or not.

The following cards of S series fixed switches support GE copper modules: - ES5D000G4S01 cards (Applicable to S5700-EI series switches. After a GE copper module is installed, the link can go Up. However, you cannot run corresponding commands to configure the rate, duplex mode, auto-negotiation, MDI, flow control, and virtual cable test on the link.) - ES5D00G4SA01 cards (Applicable to S5700-SI and S5710-LI series switches. After a GE copper module is installed, the link can go Up. However, you cannot run corresponding commands to configure the rate, duplex mode, auto-negotiation, MDI, flow control, and virtual cable test on the link.) - ES5D00G4SC00 cards (Applicable to S5700-HI series switches. After a GE copper module is installed, the link can go Up. However, you cannot run corresponding commands to configure the rate, duplex mode, auto-negotiation, MDI, flow control, and virtual cable test on the link.) - ES5D000X2S00 and ES5D000X4S01 cards (Supported by V200R002C00 and later versions, and applicable to S5700-SI series switches.) - ES5D00X2SA00 and ES5D00X4SA00 cards (Supported by V200R002C00 and later versions, and applicable to S5700-HI series switches.) - ES5D21X02S00 cards (Supported by V200R002C00 and later versions, and applicable to S5700-EI series switches.) You can use Hardware Query Tool to query the module types supported by specified cards.

Before replacing a card on an S series fixed switch, check whether the card is supported by the switch.
