Whether the S1700 functions as an aggregation switch
Can an S1700 switch function as an aggregation switch? The S1700 mainly applies to individual users and small- and medium-sized enterprises, functioning as the access switch. When a few terminals are connected, the S1700 can function as the aggregation switch. When many terminals are connected and the traffic volume is high, you are advised to use switches with higher specifications than the S1700 as aggregation switches.

Whether to configure the S1700 switch connecting to an audio phone
The following NMS-free S1700 switches require no configuration when connecting to audio phones: S1700-8-AC, S1700-16R, S1700-24R, S1700-26R-2T, S1700-24-AC, S1724G, S1700-52R-2T2P-AC, S1700-8G-AC, and S1724GR. Other S1700 switches require configurations when connecting to audio phones.

How to distinguish whether S and E series fixed switches are 100M or GE switches
The S600 provides GE downlink interfaces and GE or 10GE uplink interfaces. The S1720-GFR provides GE downlink and uplink interfaces. The S1720-GW, S1720-GWR, S1720-GW-E, and S1720-GWR-E provide GE downlink interfaces and GE or 10GE uplink interfaces. The S2700 and S3700 provide 100M downlink interfaces and GE uplink interfaces. The S5700 provides GE downlink interfaces, and some models provide 10GE uplink interfaces. The S6700 provides 10GE interfaces, and the S6720EI and S6720S-EI provide 40GE uplink interfaces.
