Displaying per-IP traffic on the USG6000 system panel

81

Perform as follows to check per-IP traffic on the USG6000 system panel:
1. Traffic report overview
Traffic reports display traffic trends and top rankings in various dimensions. You can effectively learn the traffic status of the current network based on traffic reports and therefore formulate the corresponding traffic measurement measures.
2. Background
When you view traffic reports on the NGFW, the NGFW analyzes and summarizes the traffic log data stored in the log system to form traffic reports.
Note:
When a large number of logs are generated, hard disks are recommended to prevent old logs from being overwritten by new logs.
3. Operation steps
a. Choose Monitor > Report > Traffic Report.
b. Select Source Address, Destination Address, Application, Application Category, Application Subcategory, User, Source Region, Destination Region, Virtual System, or Address Type.
c. Select a time range in the Time Range check box or User-Defined time area.
d. Click Search to display traffic trend and traffic ranking in different dimensions.
Place the cursor at a change point on a traffic trend curve to display the time and dimensional traffic volume at this point.
Note:
Information about unidentified users and applications is not included in traffic statistics.

Displaying traffic statistics on the USG6000 series
The USG6000 series enables you to use the CLI to view the traffic statistics of the device or the traffic statistics of an interface/device in the past 60 minutes, 24 hours, and 30 days. In any view, run the display all-traffic command to display the total traffic of all physical interfaces on the device from device startup or last traffic reset to the time when you display the traffic. In any view, run the display history-traffic { total | all | interface interface-type interface-number } [ hour | day | month ] command to view historical traffic statistics of an interface, all interfaces, or the device within a given time range.
