By default, the baud rate of a synchronous serial interface is 64000 bit/s.

You can set the baud rate or virtual baud rate for a synchronous serial interface using commands based on the cable type and networking requirements.

When the AR functions as the DTE:
  • Run the virtualbaudrate baudrate command to set the virtual baud rate for the synchronous serial interface.
    NOTE:
    Ensure that the virtual baud rate is the same as the baud rate of the peer device (DCE). Otherwise, packets are discarded.
When the AR functions as the DCE:
  • Run the baudrate baudrate command to set the baud rate for the synchronous serial interface.
