What is difference between upgrading the version file and upgrading the data file of the U1981?

Decompress the U1900 software package 01 eSpace U1960.zip. The following uses the U1960 as an example. The path of the dbupgrade file for upgrading the U1960 is \01 eSpace U1960\01 eSpace U1960\eSpace U1960.

If the U1900 is upgraded to a version earlier than V200R003C20, you need to upgrade the data.bin file independently. If the U1900 is upgraded to a version later than V200R003C20 using the LMT, you do not need to upgrade the data.bin file because the LMT can upgrade the data automatically.

After the upgrade of the U1900 software version, the upgraded data.bin file must be loaded. All service configuration data is contained in the data.bin file. If the U1900 of V200R003C20 or a later version is upgraded using the LMT, you do not need to upgrade the data.bin file. To upgrade the data file of U1900, perform the following steps: Step 1 Start the LMT. Choose Version > Upgrade. Step 2 Click Browse. Select the dbupgrade.jar file of the software of the target version, and click OK. Step 3 Select the device type, data.bin, and target version, and click Upgrade. Step 4 Obtain the data.bin file of the target version in the specified directory as prompted. Step 5 Close the LMT.
