When the U1980 connects to the peer device using SS7 signaling, what is the requirement for changing the signaling point code (SPC) in decimal format to SPC in hexadecimal format?

60

The U1900 only supports the SPC in hexadecimal format regarding SS7 signaling. If the SPC provided by the peer device is in decimal format, the decimal data can be converted to the hexadecimal data using a computer or calculator. Then add the converted data to the U1900.

What are the parameters that must be negotiated with the peer office during SS7 signaling interconnection?
The parameters that must be negotiated with the peer end are listed as follows: 1. Start circuit identification code (CIC). The start CIC is generally is multiple of 32. 2. Signaling link code (SLC). The value of the SLC ranges from 0 to 15. 3. Whether to enable the cyclic redundancy check (CRC). 4. Signaling point codes of the local office and peer office. 5. Whether the signaling and the data streams are transmitted through different channels, and whether one or both of the signaling and the data stream transmission use a bandwidth of 2 Mbit/s.
How to query the local signaling point codes on the U1960
Run the [%eSpace U1960(config)]#show interoffice command.
