In the advanced secretary service, a line of the manager's phone is bound to a line of the secretary's phone. The manager and the secretary can receive a call destined for the manager at the same time. The manager can answer the call directly. Alternatively, the secretary answers the call first, determines whether the call needs to be answered by the manager and if so, transfers the call to the manager.
