Consult the synchronization mechanism of U1900 master and standby node configuration?

57

The synchronization mechanism of U1900 dual master and standby node configuration is as follows:
The master node will synchronize configuraton with the standby node, but standby node will not synchronize with master node before completing taking over the business data. when node switchover, the master node will continue to synchronize the data which will cover the original data in standby one.
In order to avoid the loss of newly generated data on the standby node during switchover, please export standby node data before doing manual switch over. After that, import the data into the main node.

What is hot-standby backup of WLAN devices
In hot-standby backup mode, one AC acts as the master AC and the other acts as the backup AC. The master AC forwards services and the backup AC monitors data forwarding. The master AC also periodically sends status information and information that needs to be backed up to the backup AC. If the master AC becomes faulty, the backup AC takes over services. On a WLAN, an AC can manage several hundreds of APs. If an AC is faulty, services on all APs associated with the AC are interrupted. Therefore, AC reliability is vital to network availability. Two hot-standby backup modes are available: HSB+VRRP and HSB+dual-link backup HSB+VRRP and HSB+dual-link backup can improve network availability. HSB supports batch backup and real-time backup between two access devices. Before link switching, the standby AC synchronizes information from the active AC. When the active AC fails, service traffic is immediately switched to the standby AC without interrupting services. This improves connection reliability. Dual-link backup or VRRP can rapidly detect whether the active AC is faulty so that the standby AC can change to active state quickly. This function ensures user service continuity. Pay attention to the following points when deploying hot-standby backup on ACs: - Hot-standby backup supports only backup between two ACs, and the models and software versions of the ACs must be the same. - WLAN service configurations (for example, WMM profile, radio profile, radio, traffic profile, security profile, and WLAN ID) of the AP connected to the active and standby ACs must be consistent on the two ACs; otherwise, the AP cannot work properly after an active/standby AC switchover.

When the U1900 deployed in two-node cluster runs in cold standby mode, how to synchronize the backup data from the active device to the standby device?
1. Ensure that the active and standby U1900s have the same hardware configurations. 2. Back up the data.bin file and voice files of the active U1900 and then load these files to the standby U1900. 3. The U1911, U1960, U1980, and U1981 support the two-node cluster hot standby mode. The U1910 and U1930 support the cold standby mode.
What is operating mechanism of the U1900s working in active/standby mode?
1. When the active node fails, the standby node is disconnected from the active node and takes over all voice services from the active node. 2. The active and standby nodes both connect to the PSTN. When the active node fails, the standby node routes calls to the PSTN through trunks. 3. When the active node recovers, all services are switched back from the standby node to the active node. For details, see Configuration > Configuration Examples in Typical Scenarios > Configuring the Unified Gateway Two-Node Cluster > Background in the eSpace U1900 Series Unified Gateway Product Documentation.
