What is the network port mode of the U1900?

66

The SCU (U1911/U1960/1980/U1981) supports three network port modes: single-network-port mode, dual-network-port mode, and triple-network-port mode. In different network port modes, each network port processes different data streams. Network port 3 is not enabled currently. For details, see .

Function of the server management network port
The management network port of a server is the BMC (iMana/iBMC) port. For details, see the iMana User Guide (Link) or iBMC User Guide (Link). The BMC implements server management and complies with IPMI2.0. The BMC provides the following functions: ? Remote control: implements remote control of a server via Keyboard Video and Mouse (KVM), Serial over LAN (SOL), or virtual media. ?- Alarm management: Receives alarms from the Field Replaceable Units (FRUs) and takes related processing based on the information received. ? Status monitoring: monitors running status of FRUs in real time. ? Device information management: provides device version, model, and asset information. ? Heat dissipation: dynamically adjusts the fan speed based on the temperature and workload of the server. ? Support for IPMItool: iMana supports commands sent from IPMItool. You can download the IPMItool from official website. ? Support for web management: iMana provides GUI management, which allows users to perform set and query operations by simply clicking mouse. -?Centralized account management: iMana allows user accounts to be stored on the Active Directory (AD) server, which redirects authentication to the server and implements access from domain users.
What can I do if packet loss occurs on due to an unmatched network port mode?
To resolve this issue: The Ethernet ports of the local and remote parties must work in the same mode; otherwise, an error may occur during negotiation, resulting in packet loss. Ensure that the endpoint has the same network port mode as the device (generally, switch) to which the endpoint is connected through a network cable. Method 1: Change the network port mode of the endpoint to the network port mode specified for the switch. Log in to the endpoint's web interface, choose System Settings > Network > LAN > Common Settings, and change the setting of Network interface mode to the setting on the connected switch. Method 2: Change the network port mode of the switch to the network port mode specified for the endpoint.
Does IAD1224 support the pattern of two network ports backup each other
IAD two network ports do not support each other for the main mode.
Network port modes of the U1960

In different network port modes, each network port processes different data streams. Network port 3 is not used currently. For details, see the U1900 product documentation.
