How to configure the hotline service on the U1900 series unified gateway

Using the CLI:
1. Run the following command to add the hotline service right:
config modify subscriber dn [subpbxno <0-251>] operatenewservice add newservicerights hotline
2. Activate the service.
Have user A pick up the phone and dial *52*TN#. Then, user A can hear an announcement indicating that the service is activated.

Note:
User A has been assigned the delayed hotline service right.
The variable TN is the hotline number (either an intra-office number or external number), which is the number of user B.
Users can also activate the service by running the following command without using phones: config activeservice dn type hotlinedelay value TN#

Using the web management system:
1. Log in to the web management system of the U1900.
4. Choose User > POTS User.
3. Select the number for which the hotline service needs to be configured, and click Service Configuration.
The service configuration page is displayed.
4. In the Complex service area, click Configure next to Hotline.
5. In the dialog box for configuring the hotline service, configure instant hotline or delayed hotline.
6. Click OK.

How to use the hotline service:
Activating the service
User A picks up the phone and dials *61*TN#. Then, user A can hear an announcement indicating that the service is registered. User A has been assigned the instant hotline service right. The variable TN indicates user B's number.

Using the service
User A picks up the phone and hears the ringback tone. If user B picks up the phone, user A talks with user B.

Deactivating the service
User A cannot deactivate the service using the phone number for which the instant hotline service is enabled. User A needs to use another phone number for which the hotline service is enabled and dial #61*TN# to deactivate the instant hotline service. TN is user A's phone number.
