Change the management IP address of an S1728GWR-4P switch as follows:
Choose System > IP. On the page displayed, configure the switch information such as the management VLAN and IP address. By default, the switch obtains an IP address through DHCP. If the switch fails to obtain an IP address through DHCP, the switch uses the IP address of 192.168.0.1.
Perform the following operation to configure the switch to obtain an IP address through DHCP:
1. Choose System > IP.
2. Specify an available management VLAN for the switch and set IP地址方式 to DHCP.
3. Click Apply to save the configuration.
4. Click Restart DHCP to obtain a new IP address.
Perform the following operations to configure a static IP address for the switch:
1. Choose System > IP.
2. Specify an available management VLAN for the switch, set IP Address Mode to Static, and enter an IP address, subnet mask, and gateway IP address.
3. Click Apply to save the configuration.
If you need to allocate new IP addresses to PCs (DHCP clients), you must release old IP addresses from the PCs. However, you can renew IP address leases without releasing IP addresses.

a. If the PC runs the Windows 7 operating system, run the ipconfig or release command.
b. If the PC runs the Windows 98 MS-DOS operating system, run the winipcfg or release command.
2. Requesting a new IP address or renewing IP address lease
The command for requesting an IP address or renewing IP address lease also varies according to the operating system:
a. If the PC runs the Windows 7 operating system, run the ipconfig or renew command.
b. If the PC runs the Windows 98 MS-DOS operating system, run the winipcfg or renew command.
1. Use the SSH to log in to the SC. The user name and password are admin and Change_Me respectively.
2. Run the system-view sys-config network-config lan1 ipv4 address xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx netmask x.x.x.x command and restart the SC.
The new IP address takes effect after the SC restarts.
You can change the IP address of the ViewPoint 8033C using the remote control or web interface.

a. Choose System > Admin > Network.
b. Select Local IP address and set the IP address.
