Which command is used to change the maximum link idle time

15

The dialer timer idle seconds command is used to set the maximum link idle time on an interface. During this period of time, no Interesting packet is transmitted over the link.

seconds specifies the maximum link idle time. The value is an integer that ranges from 0 to 65535, in seconds. The default value is 120.

Which command can be run to modify the dial-up idle period
You can run the dialer timer idle seconds command to set the allowed idle period for the link after a call is established on the interface, that is, time period during which no Interesting packet is not transmitted. In the command, seconds indicates the allowed idle period of the link, which is an integer ranged from 0 to 65535 and is measured by seconds. The default value of the period is 120 seconds.

Configure the time period when idle users go offline
For WLAN devices, if a user produces a little or no network traffic for a long time after going online, the user still occupies certain bandwidth, which reduces the access rate of other users. In this case, the idle-cut function can be configured to disconnect the users whose traffic volume stays below the traffic threshold within the idle time. This function reduces resource waste and improves Internet access experience of other users. The configuration is as follows:
1.  Enter the AAA authentication scheme view, and configure the idle-cut function and related parameters.
<AC6605> system-view
[AC6605] aaa
[AC6605-aaa] service-scheme huawei
[AC6605-aaa-service-huawei] idle-cut 1 10  //Set the idle-cut interval to 1 minute and the traffic threshold to 10 kbit/s.
[AC6605-aaa-service-huawei] quit
2. Enter the AAA domain view, and enable traffic statistics collection.
[AC6605-aaa] domain huawei
[AC6605-aaa-domain-huawei] statistic enable

How to change the link type of an interface
The link type of an interface can be access, trunk, hybrid, or Dot1q-tunnel. The methods used to change the link type of an interface in different versions are different. In V200R005 and later versions, run the port link-type { access | trunk | hybrid | dot1q-tunnel } command and enter y or n as prompted. When the interface uses the default VLAN configuration, the system does not display any message. The link type of the interface is changed directly. When you enter y and press Enter, the device automatically deletes the non-default VLAN configuration of the interface and sets the link type of the interface to the specified one. When you enter n and press Enter, the device retains the current link type and VLAN configuration of the interface. Change the link type of the interface to hybrid. system-view [HUAWEI] interface GigabitEthernet0/0/1 [HUAWEI-GigabitEthernet0/0/1] port link-type hybrid Warning: This command will delete VLANs on this port. Continue?[Y/N]:y Info: This operation may take a few seconds. Please wait for a moment...done. In earlier versions of V200R005, an interface joins VLAN 1 by default, and the PVID of an interface is VLAN 1. You can run the port link-type { access | trunk | hybrid | dot1q-tunnel } command to change the link type of the interface. You need to restore the default configuration of the interface, and then change the link type of the interface.
