What is the power supply voltage for the eSpace 7900 series and 8900 series phones?

China's national standard for high-voltage DC power supply was released in December 2011 and took effect in February 2012. The standard defines power supply with 240 V DC (192 V to 288 V). The International Electrotechnical Commission (IEC) released the 380 V DC (260 V to 400 V) power supply standard, ETSI EN 300 132-3-1 V2.1.1, in February 2012. Because the two standards were released not long ago and define different voltage ranges, power supply manufacturers have not released power supply products complying with the high-voltage DC power supply standards. All the manufacturers use AC power modules in 240 V DC power supply scenarios. AC chassis modules on CE series switches can work in a certain high-voltage DC voltage range. For security purpose, power modules of the switches provide overvoltage protection function and will cut off power supply when the input voltage exceeds the upper limit. The voltage protection function prevents damage to power modules or other dangers caused by abnormal input voltage. The voltage upper limit triggering overvoltage protection is larger than the maximum input voltage allowed by a power module. The 240 V DC input standard has higher requirements for power module protection components and secure distance than the 220 V AC input standard. Currently, AC power modules can work with 240 V DC power input.

On the home screen, choose Apps > Preferences > Audio Source. The Audio Source screen is displayed. Select Speaker or Headset(RJ-9). NOTE: If your IP phone is not connected to a Bluetooth headset or USB headset, you can only select either Speaker or Headset (RJ-9) as the audio source. On the home screen, choose Apps > System > Bluetooth. The Bluetooth screen is displayed. Press Enable. After you enable Bluetooth, you can perform the following steps to pair a Bluetooth device with the phone: On the home screen, choose Apps > System > Bluetooth. The Bluetooth screen is displayed. Press Search. NOTE: Before the phone searches for Bluetooth devices, ensure that Bluetooth is enabled for the device to be paired. Select the Bluetooth device to pair and press Connect. NOTE: The default password for pairing a Bluetooth device is 0000 on the IP phone. If the password of your Bluetooth device to pair is not 0000, enter the actual password in the Bluetooth Match Request dialog box that is displayed on the IP phone, and press Match for a re-connection. When the pairing succeeds, the paired Bluetooth device becomes connected to the phone.

On the web page, choose Preferences > Key Tone. Select Disable. Click Save.

The eSpace 8950 and 7900 series IP phones can be upgraded one by one or in batches. Upgrading a single phone: 1. Log in to the phone's web page as the administrator and choose Advanced > Upgrade > Manual Upgrade. 2. Click Browse to select an upgrade package. 3. Select local version files to be upgraded, and click Upgrade.
