Do AR series routers support ATM OAM

15

AR series routers support the following operation, administration, and maintenance (OAM) functions: OAMPing, OAM Loopback, OAM CC, alarm indication signal (AIS), and remote defect indication (RDI).

In earlier versions of V200R002C02, the G.SHDSL boards support all the ATM OAM functions. The ADSL and VDSL boards support only the OAMPing function.

In V200R002C02 or later versions, the ADSL, VDSL and G.SHDSL boards support all the ATM OAM functions.

Which ATM services do AR routers support
AR routers support four PVC-based ATM service types: CBR, UBR, VBR-RT, and VBR-NRT.

Does the AR support the web
Starting from V200R002C01, the AR supports the web platform. You can use the web platform to manage and maintain AR routers on the GUI. V200R005C20SPC200 is recommended. For details, see Access Router Product Information Center.

An AR router configured with ATM cannot interconnect with the Cisco router on the peer end
Check the configuration of the AR router and find that IPoA is configured.
# interface Atm0/0/0.1 p2p ip address 10.229.190.6 255.255.255.252 pvc 8/35 map ip 10.229.190.5 //Configure IPoA mapping on the pvc. #

Check the configuration of the Cisco router and find that IPoEoA is configured.
 ! interface ATM0/0/0.1 point-to-point ip address xx.xx.xx.xx 255.255.255.252 ip nat outside atm route-bridged ip //Configure IPoEoA. pvc 8/35 encapsulation aal5snap ! !

After the configuration of the AR router is modified from IPoA to IPoEoA, the AR router can ping the Cisco router successfully.
 # interface Virtual-Ethernet0/0/2 ip address 10.229.190.6 255.255.255.252 # interface Atm0/0/0.1 p2p pvc 8/35 map bridge Virtual-Ethernet 0/0/2 //Configure IPoEoA mapping on pvc. #

Which STP protocols do AR series routers support
AR series routers support Spanning Tree Protocol (STP), Rapid Spanning Tree Protocol (RSTP), and Multiple Spanning Tree Protocol (MSTP).

Which multicast protocols do AR series routers support
In earlier versions of V200R005C00, Huawei AR series routers support the following multicast protocols: - MSDP - PIM-SM - PIM-DM - IGMP - IGMP snooping and MLD snooping Note: AR150&AR200 series routers and AR1200 series routers do not support IGMP snooping or MLD snooping. In V200R005C00 and later versions, Huawei AR series routers support the following multicast protocols: MSDP - PIM-SM - PIM-SM (IPv6) - PIM-DM - PIM-DM (IPv6) - IGMP - MLD - IGMP snooping and MLD snooping Note: AR150&AR200 series routers and AR1200 series routers do not support IGMP snooping or MLD snooping.
