When the call waiting function is enabled on an IP phone and at least two lines are configured, the user who initiates a call to the IP phone when it is busy hears the ringback tone.
When the call waiting function is disabled, the user who initiates a call to the IP phone when it is busy hears an announcement, indicating that the called party is busy.
To disable the call waiting function, perform the following steps:
eSpace 7900 series:
On the home screen, choose Apps > Preferences > Call Settings > Call Waiting.
Press Disable.
eSpace 8850:
On the home screen, choose Settings > Call Service > Call Waiting.
Tap Disable and then tap Save.
On the home screen, choose Apps > Preferences > Audio Source.
The Audio Source screen is displayed.
Select Speaker or Headset(RJ-9).
NOTE:
If your IP phone is not connected to a Bluetooth headset or USB headset, you can only select either Speaker or Headset (RJ-9) as the audio source.
The RJ-9 headset PLANTRONICS HW111N-U10P is recommended.
Press Select.
eSpace 7900 series:
On the home screen, choose Apps > Status.
Select Network and press View.
View the IP address of the IP phone.
eSpace 8850:
On the home screen, choose Settings > Phone Info, and view the IP address of the IP phone.
