The E1 cards of AR routers use 75-ohm DB9-BNC cables or RJ45-BNC cables to support BNC interfaces.

NE16EX series devices support only 1STM1 and 1STM4 interface cards. - A 1STM1 interface card provides a POS optical interface with a rate of 155 Mbit/s. - A 1STM4 interface card provides a POS optical interface with a rate of 622 Mbit/s. - A 4STM1 interface card provides four POS optical interfaces with a rate of 155 Mbit/s or a POS optical interface with a rate of 622 Mbit/s (interface 0 is available and interface 1/2/3 are disabled).
