A standalone SC has an independent license. For the embedded SC, you apply for and load the license of the SMC2.0. You can view the ESN of a standalone SC in the SC details on the SC management page. The ESN is used for binding during license application.
To import the license on a standalone SC, log in to the SC and click Import License in the upper right corner.
Whether an MCU supports conference scheduling on the web interface is determined by the MCU model. VP9650, VP9630, ViewPoint 8650, and ViewPoint 8650C MCUs support conference scheduling on the web interface. You can configure the management platform (Built-in web or SMC2.0/IMS) for an MCU on its web interface. VP9660 and ViewPoint 8660 MCUs do not support conference scheduling on the web interface.
The license controls port resources. It limits the number of audio and video ports. Without a license, only two ports are available by default. In this case, you can hold a conference with a maximum of two participants no matter whether the MCU web interface or the SMC2.0 is used to schedule conferences.
