Restore factory settings of the S1700 using either of the following methods:
1. Hold down the Reset button.
When you hold down the Reset button for more than 5s, the switch restarts and restores the factory settings.
(If you forget the changed management IP address or password of a switch, you can hold down the Reset button to restore factory settings of the switch.)
2. Restore the factory settings through the web.
a. Choose System Management > Reset Factory.
b. Click Reset Factory.
c. Click Apply.
To restore the MCU to factory defaults in CLI mode, perform the following operations:
1. Log in to the MCU as the administrator user in SSH2 mode.
2. Run the file rm-config command to delete the configuration file.
3. Run the reboot command to restart the MCU.
After the MCU is restarted, all configurations are restored to factory defaults.
An IPC can be restored to factory defaults in one of the following ways:
Hold down the RESET button on the IPC for over 3s.
Use SSH to log in to an IPC as the admin user and run the rm -f /usr/log/config* and rm -f /usr/setting/config* commands. Then, run the reboot -f command to restart the IPC.
Restore the camera to factory defaults on the IPC web page. For details, see the Online Help of the required IPC model.
An IPC can be restored to factory defaults in one of the following ways:
Method 1: Hold down the RESET button on the camera for over 3s.
Method 2: Use PuTTY to log in to the camera as the admin user and run the rm -f /usr/log/config* and rm -f /usr/setting/config* commands. Then, run the reboot -f command to restart the camera.

Note:
For details about the default password of the admin user, see the Online Help of the required IPC model.
Restoring factory settings will reset all configurations on the IP phone. Exercise caution when performing this operation.
eSpace 7900 series:
Press and hold the Home button for ten seconds. When the confirmation message is displayed, press Restore.
eSpace 8850:
Press and hold the physical Home button for ten seconds. When the confirmation message is displayed, tap OK.
