Whether the Huawei ViewPoint 8000 series endpoint can directly call the signaling board IP address of the MCU to join a conference

The PSTN board can be inserted into ViewPoint 8000 series MCUs.

The following details version upgrade and downgrade for ViewPoint 8000 series MCUs. If the version of a ViewPoint 8000 series MCU is earlier than Train 11 (including V100R001, V100R002, and V100R003C03B015), you cannot directly upgrade it to a version later than Train 11 (including V100R003C03B024, and V100R006). First, upgrade the MCU to Train 11 (V100R003C03B016SP02), and then upgrade it to the target version. Alternatively, directly upgrade the MCU from the bootrom system. To downgrade an MCU from V100R008C01 to V100R007C01, you must first downgrade it to V100R007C02, and then to V100R007C01. Alternatively, downgrade the MCU from the bootrom system. To downgrade an MCU of a new version to V100R002, first downgrade it to V100R003 and then to the target version. Alternatively, downgrade the MCU from the bootrom system.

ViewPoint 8000 series MCUs V100R007 and earlier versions do not provide web interfaces. You can configure the IP addresses for the MCUs in CLI mode. The network-config command is used to set network parameters for the GE1 ports and boards. Value 0 indicates an FE port, 1 indicates a GE0 port, and 2 indicates a GE1 port. ViewPoint 8000 series MCU V100R008 and later versions provide web interfaces. You can log in to the web interface of an MCU and choose Settings > Network to configure the IP addresses.

The Huawei ViewPoint 8000 series endpoint cannot be connected to IPCs. IPCs are digital video cameras. The digital video signals are transmitted through network cables. The Huawei 8000 series endpoint can only receive analog signals through video ports.

The default (factory setting) IP address of a Huawei ViewPoint 8000 series endpoint is 192.168.1.1 or 10.76.167.31.
