The policy for allocating MCU resources is as follows:
MCU resources are allocated in sequence.
For example, a Netra supports four 720p channels, and MCU resources are allocated to the first three channels and then to the fourth channel.
The continuous presence resources in the license of ViewPoint 8000 series MCUs are calculated based on the CIF format. The calculation relationship is:
CIF:4CIF:720p:1080p = 8:4:2:1
For example, two groups of 16-pane resources can be used to hold one conference with 8 panes in 720p format.
Two causes for insufficient MCU audio resources: 1. Audio resources are all in use. In this case, multipoint conferences cannot be scheduled. 2. The audio DSP stops working unexpectedly.
If audio resources are all in use:
1. End ongoing conferences or wait until ongoing conferences end. Then start your conference again.
2. If audio resources are insufficient when no other conference is ongoing, purchase a license to expand audio resources.
If the audio DSP stops working unexpectedly:
1. Restart the MCU. If you can initiate a conference after the restart, the audio DSP has become normal.
2. If the problem persists, contact the vendor or agent or an authorized maintenance center.
To revoke the license of VP96XX series MCUs, perform the following operations:
