How can I enable the MCU voice activation function?

The built-in MCU supports voice activation and allows you to view a single site. To configure voice activation and the function of allowing user to view a single site, log in to the endpoint web interface and choose System Settings > Conference > Normal and set Default remote layout. The Default remote layout parameter specifies the default view displayed to remote sites in a multipoint conference initiated by the endpoint's built-in MCU. The number of panes in continuous presence is determined by the built-in MCU's capabilities and the number of sites. The video displayed in the continuous presence panes is determined by the join-conference sequence of sites and the setting of Default remote layout. The options are as follows: ? Voice activated, full screen: The remote sites view, in full screen, the video of the site that generates the loudest volume. ? Voice activated, in panes: The remote sites view continuous presence, with the main pane displaying the video of the site that generates the loudest volume. ? Bisect: The remote sites view, in bisect mode, the video of the other sites. The site that generates the louder volume is highlighted. A presentation will not be displayed in this layout. ? Fixed site, full screen: The remote sites view, in full screen, the video of a specified site. To view a site in full screen, select it in the site list. ? Fixed sites, in panes: The remote sites view continuous presence, with the main pane displaying the video of a specified site. To add a site to the main pane, select it in the site list.

To enable voice activation on the SMC1.0: Enable voice activation on the technical specification page during conference scheduling.

To disable voice activation on the VP9650 MCU or SMC2.0: 1. Log in to the SMC2.0 web page as the admin user. 2. Choose Conferences > New Conference. 3. Click Advanced Settings on the New Conference page. 4. In the Advanced Settings dialog box that is displayed, deselect voice activation, click Back, and save the template.

Perform the following operations when the main pane is not highlighted after the ViewPoint 8000 series MCU voice activation is enabled: 1.
