How can I use the USB flash drive to import configurations on TE20?

The USB flash drive may not be identified by the server. It is recommended that you use a physical or virtual DVD-ROM drive to install the OS.

To use a USB flash drive to import configuration files on a TE series endpoint, perform the following operations: 1. Use a USB configuration tool to import the configuration files to the root directory of the USB flash drive. You can obtain the USB flash drive from the software package. 2. Insert the USB flash drive into a USB port of the endpoint. 3. Enter the administrator password of the remote control UI as prompted. The endpoint immediately loads the configuration and automatically restarts after the loading is complete. Remarks: The encryption password of the configuration file must be the same as the administrator password of the remote control UI. Otherwise, the configuration will fail to be imported. When the administrator password on the remote control UI is left empty, the encryption password is the default administrator password 12345678 of the remote control UI. 4. After the restart is complete, remove the USB flash drive.

You can use either of the following methods to use the USB flash drive to import configurations: Insert the USB flash drive into the endpoint and then power on the endpoint. When the endpoint is running properly, insert the USB flash drive into the endpoint. When the endpoint detects the insertion of the USB flash drive, the configuration import dialog box is displayed on the remote control UI. The USB flash drive configuration tool of the English and Chinese versions is provided. The name of the USB flash drive configuration tool of the English version is TE10 USBConfigurationTool.xls.
