If 48 disk slots are involved, you are advised to use every 24 disk slots to create a disk domain. If the number of disk slots ranges from 48 to 64, you are advised to use every 48 disk slots to create a disk domain. If more than 64 disk slots are involved, you are advised to use every 64 disk slots to create a disk domain.

After the new disks are added to a disk domain, the system automatically performs migration to ensure that the used capacity of each disk is the same. The migration speed is related to the load of the disk domain. For example, if the I/O load on the disk domain is heavy, the migration speed is reduced; if the I/O load on the disk domain is light, the migration speed is relatively high. The migration speed has no major impact on the performance of a disk domain. However, it is still recommended to perform migration when the service load is light.
