Whether the SAN resources and NAS resources reside in the same storage pool

There is a control system on each storage device that occupies part of its storage resources. This capacity varies among manufactures, from tens of GB to 100 GB.

1.Troubleshoot the failed disk by following instructions in the product documentation of VIS. 2.After the failed disk is recovered, delete its related recovery plans and protected groups. 3.Create protected groups and recovery plans again.

The resource pool provides common resources for the following value-added services: Virtual snapshot During the virtual snapshot creation, the resource pool on the owning controller of the source LUN is employed. Incremental LUN copy During the incremental LUN copy, the resource pool on the owning controller of the source LUN is employed. Asynchronous remote replication During synchronization of the asynchronous mirrored pair, the resource pools on both the owning controller of the primary LUN and the working controller of the slave LUN are employed. You must ensure that common resources are available before running the services above. Otherwise, add LUNs to relevant resource pools for compensation.

SAN and NAS resources of unified storage V300R002 cannot reside in the same storage pool. SAN resources are independent of NAS resources. Storage pools are created specifically for either LUNs or file systems. That is, LUNs and file systems cannot coexist in one storage pool but can reside in the same disk domain. The capacity of a storage pool can be dynamically expanded.

The SMC2.0 V100R003C10 version is recommended. The preceding functions can be implemented.
