Method used to install GSM MODEM for OceanStor T Series unified storage

You can map LUNs in OceanStor T Series unified storage as follows: 1. The storage system provides two mapping modes: array port mapping type and initiator mapping type. Select a proper mapping mode based on the service requirements and networking. For more details, go to the Setting a Mapping Mode page. 2. If the connection is an iSCSI connection, the mapping can be added through the initiator. For more details, go to the Initiator Mapping Mode (for Fibre Channel Connections and iSCSI connections) page. 3. If the connection is a Fibre Channel connection, the mapping can be added through the initiator or array port. For more details, go to the Initiator Mapping Mode (for Fibre Channel Connections and iSCSI connections) page or the Array port Mapping Mode (for Fibre Channle Connections) page.

Method used to install coffer disks of OceanStor T Series unified storage: For OceanStor T Series unified storage whose disks and controllers are integrated, slots 0 to 3 of controller enclosures must be inserted with coffer disks. For OceanStor T Series unified storage whose disks and controllers are separated, slots 0 to 3 of the first disk enclosure must be inserted with coffer disks. At least one disk must be seated in slot 0 or 1 and at least one disk in slot 2 or 3. Insert disks delivered to the site to the slots as described above, and attach coffer disk labels to the disks.

Method used to apply for licenses for OceanStor T Series unified storage: Visit http://app.huawei.com/isdp, click License Activation on the left of the ESDP homepage, bind orders to ESNs of specified devices following the license activation wizard, activate license files, and obtain license files for device loading. Method used to power on OceanStor T Series V100R005 storage systems: SAN storage system power-on procedure is as follows: switch on all the external power supplies > press the power button on any controller > power on Ethernet or Fibre Channel switches (applicable if the Ethernet or Fibre Channel switches are deployed but not powered on) > power on application servers (applicable if the application servers are not powered on). NAS storage system power-on procedure is as follows: switch on external power supplies > power on Ethernet switches > power on Fibre Channel switches > power on storage unit controller enclosures (SUCs) and storage unit disk enclosures (SUDs) by pressing either power button of the SUC > power on file engines by pressing the power button of file engine nodes in the cluster at an interval of one minute.
