Migrating data

1. You can use the LUN copy, SmartMigration, and SmartTier features of OceanStor T and V3 series to implement data migration.
2. You can also use virtual intelligent storage (VIS) to implement data migration. It is a charged service. For details about the VIS service, go the HUAWEI Storage Information Self-Service Platform website.
Note: Data migration documents are available to accounts who have the permissions equal to or higher than channel accounts.

Querying data MIGRATE progress using OceanStor 9000 V100R001C01
OceanStor 9000 V100R001C01 currently does not have any effective method for querying data MIGRATE progress, but allows you to estimate the progress using the following operations: a. Running the df –h command on the standby node to query and compare the used disk capacity with the total capacity to be migrated. b. Calculating and comparing the number of migrated files with the total number of files to be migrated based on the IOPS and used MIGRATE time on the WebUI.

Introduction to planned migration of OceanStor ReplicationDirector
If data or applications at a production site need to be recovered from a disaster recovery site due to a power failure, upgrade, or maintenance, you need to perform planned migration at the disaster recovery site. The latest data changes at the production site will be synchronized to the disaster recovery site. Planned migration is performed only in the disaster recovery management system at the disaster recovery site.
