By default, the NCQ function is disabled in OceanStor S2600 R1. Perform operations on the device on which upgrade cannot be performed and the NCQ function needs to be disabled by following instructions in this guide.
Each controller has its own NCQ function. On a dual-controller network, you need to disable or enable the NCQ function on two controllers, separately.

1. Log in to the controller as user admin and enter the debug mode (the password is 654321).
2. In the AK-I command line, run lsiutil and enter 1 and 68 in sequence.
3. After step 2, if SATA Native Command Queuing is Enabled, it indicates that the NCQ function is enabled. If SATA Native Command Queuing is Disabled, it indicates that the NCQ function is disabled.
Perform the following steps to disable the NCQ function:
1. Run os_test_main.sh -e close to disable the NCQ function.
2. When two controllers are configured, perform the preceding step 1 and step 2 on the peer-end controller.
3. Check whether the NCQ function is enabled by running lsiutil and enter 1 and 68 in sequence in the AK-I command line. If yes, the value of SATA Native Command Queuing is Disabled.
4. After the NCQ function is disabled successfully, start host services.

Method used to enable and disable the iCache function of linked clone VMs
After iCache is enabled on a VM, the system stores the frequently accessed data in iCache to increase the data access rate. The iCache configuration process is complex and the following is only a brief introduction: 1. Set an iCache value. The threshold is set during FusionCompute installation. You are advised to configure iCache and set its value to 12288 MB if you want to use linked clone VMs. 2. Enable the iCache function when you create the linked clone VM template. 3. Provision VMs using the template. The iCache function takes effect when you use the VMs. The iCache function can be disabled only after all VMs provisioned busing the template are deleted.
