Four networking modes of OceanStor 9000

OceanStor 9000 supports multiple authentication modes, such as anonymous access, local user authentication, AD domain authentication, client IP address authentication, client host name authentication, LDAP authentication, and NIS authentication. For details, see the figure on the right.

OceanStor 9000 V100R001C01 supports the following typical networking plans: 1. 10GE front-end and 10GE back-end 2. 10GE front-end and GE back-end 3. InfiniBand front-end and InfiniBand back-end 4. 10GE front-end and InfiniBand back-end In the preceding four networking scenarios, the networking tool automatically generates a network plan, hardware connection diagram, and connection table.

OceanStor 9000 separates the front-end and back-end networks and uses the front-end network for data exchange with customers, and the back-end network for data exchange among internal nodes. OceanStor 9000 supports the following typical networking modes: 1. 10GE front-end/back-end (recommended) 2. InfiniBand front-end/back-end (mainly for HPC scenarios) 3. 10GE front-end and InfiniBand back-end 4. GE front-end and 10GE back-end (for video surveillance and archiving scenarios)
